Community Information Sessions

Stock image- Group of young people in business meetingThe Mecklenburg County ABC Board is gearing up for the next grant cycle. Funding focuses on the prevention, education, treatment, and/or research of alcohol and/or substance abuse (substance use disorder). Please join the ABC Board Grant Team at one of five Community Information Sessions hosted across Mecklenburg County in October. Important information will be covered about the Community Health & Wellness Grant Program, eligibility requirements, deadlines for submission, and much more. These sessions are designed primarily for small, grassroots nonprofits who have not had a grant with the ABC Board in the past or those who are current grant partners in the Small Grant Program or Special Grant Initiative, however any interested nonprofit in Mecklenburg County is welcome to attend. Special Grant Initiative

Do you work with Mecklenburg County children in Grades K-5? Does your nonprofit’s mission focus on the health and well-being of children? The Mecklenburg County ABC Board has announced the second year of the Special Grant Initiative which provides funding for the C. E. Mendez Foundation’s evidence based Too Good for Drugs prevention education program. Find out more about the Special Grant Initiative and register for the Virtual Pre-Grant Workshop being held on October 15. Registration is required. Please go to the ABC Board website to learn more.
