PMA Celebrates 14 Years Serving Nonprofit Leaders
PMA Nonprofit Leadership is proud to have served over 275 nonprofit organizations in North Carolina and beyond. What began simply as Patton McDowell & Associates in 2009 evolved into PMA three years later, and in 2019 embraced the current PMA Nonprofit Leadership title.
"We would like to express our deepest gratitude to the individuals and organizations across the globe that have engaged with our leadership development work this past year," said PMA President and Founder Patton McDowell. "As nonprofits have emerged from the most challenging period of the pandemic, we appreciate the trust they have placed in us to provide support and leadership counsel."
In 2022, PMA assisted a variety of nonprofit organizations, leaders, and development professionals as they navigated many familiar (and unfamiliar) challenges in the changing pandemic environment.
-
Leadership Development: We provided leadership development training through our Mastermind program to 36 nonprofit leaders in 2022, in sectors ranging from higher education to children's services. The 11th cohort of Leadership Gift School kicked off including organizations such as Crossnore Communities for Children, Gaston College Foundation, and Freedom House of Mecklenburg. Lastly, our New Development Professionals cohort introduced us to rising development leaders in organizations like the McColl Center, Feeding Charlotte, and Project 2 Heal.
-
Strategic Planning: Some of our strategic planning work included clients such as LIFESPAN and Right Moves for Youth who refined their tactics for delivering vital services to their beneficiaries.
-
Fundraising Counsel: In the fundraising and capital campaign space, we assisted Lakeview Neighborhood Alliance, Sustain Charlotte, and Charlotte Community Health Clinic as they elevated their gift cultivation and stewardship skills.
