ABOUT PATTON

Patton is the Founder of PMA Nonprofit Leadership, a consulting firm helping talented individuals excel at nonprofit leadership. He also serves as Director of the Institute for Philanthropic Leadership, where he facilitates its two signature programs: Leadership Gift School and the Emerging Leaders in Philanthropy program. Patton is the host of the award-winning podcast Your Path to Nonprofit Leadership and Is the author of a book by the same title. He leads the Mastermind Leadership Development Program, a signature coaching initiative designed to develop nonprofit leaders across the country. Before founding PMA in 2009, Patton led University Advancement teams at Queens University of Charlotte and UNC Wilmington, and his professional journey began with Special Olympics International and Special Olympics North Carolina. He was a Morehead-Cain Scholar at UNC Chapel Hill, received an MBA from the McColl School of Business at Queens, and a Doctorate from the University of Southern California. He is a Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) and a Master Trainer for AFP Global. He serves on the Board of Advisors for the Wildacres Leadership Initiative and as an Executive in Residence at the Jeb E. Brooks School of Public Policy at Cornell University.
