We're Hiring: Director of Marketing at PMA Nonprofit Leadership
We're looking for a talented and creative individual to join our leadership team during an exciting period of growth and possibility. As we celebrate our 15th anniversary, approach our 300th client, prepare for the 250th episode of our podcast, and debut a new website, this half-time role will have a unique and flexible chance to drive these exciting milestones forward.

PMA Nonprofit Leadership specializes in developing nonprofit leaders at all career stages, providing individual support and organizational counsel. Our team, known for its innovation and collaboration, is poised to dramatically improve our marketing efforts around current programs and several new initiatives. This position will play a crucial role in navigating these opportunities and expanding our impact locally, regionally and nationally.
The Opportunity: Director of Marketing
As our Director of Marketing, you'll start part-time, with the potential to grow into a full-time leadership role. This position is perfect for someone who excels in creative marketing strategy and possesses excellent interpersonal skills.
Your Role:
- Develop and implement a robust marketing plan aligned with PMA's growth objectives and mission.
- Manage brand, creative direction, and digital strategy, including social media content.
- Create compelling written content and ensure top-quality in all marketing communications.
- Identify opportunities to improve or grow the brand across multiple mediums including print, audio, video, and digital.
- Collaborate effectively with PMA's leadership, consultants, client organizations and nonprofit leaders for an integrated marketing strategy.
- Lead projects independently, showcasing self-sufficient project management capabilities.
- Utilize CRM and project management software, preferably Hubspot CRM, to streamline and track marketing initiatives.
What You Need:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Minimum 6 years of marketing leadership experience, preferably with additional experience in CRM and project management software.
- Proven digital marketing, social media strategy, and content creation skills.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and interpersonal communication abilities.
Location Flexibility
While we would love for this position to interact with our leadership team in Charlotte, NC, we understand the importance of flexibility and are open to remote work arrangements.
Compensation
This is a contract position starting at 20 hours per week, with competitive compensation commensurate with experience. There's potential for this role to evolve into a full-time opportunity.
